- How many years have the company been operating? Or is it a fly by night company
- Where does this company rank on Google
- Does the company have experience in custom designed php and asp solutions or are they just providing WordPress and Joomla solutions, this is important even if you consider a template solution because any respectable web development company should know php and asp like the back of their hand and you can expect similar dedication and expertise in all other areas of web design
- Does your website company know jquery
- Does your website company know JavaScript
- Do they know CSS and HTML5
- Do they know the 300 onsite optimisation factors in search engine optimisation
- Do they know how to acquire quality backlinks for offsite search engine optimisation
- Do they have a portfolio of sites that you approve of
- Do they provide monthly seo solutions? There is no such thing as a once off seo solution
- Are they Google certified in adwords campaign management
- Are they aware that flash ranks really poorly in search engines and they have moved on to jquery and other solutions
- Do they know how to integrate payment API’s and 3d party payment systems such as paygate, paypal
- Are they familiar with XML
- Do they know how to implement spam protection on a website without having users type in irritating numbers
- Do they know how to get a website on page 1 of Google for more than 300 keywords
- Do they know how to decrease your cost per click on Google adwords and pay per click campaigns
- Do they know what code:content ration is in search engine optimisation
- Do they know how to programme a site so it will work on every browser and cell phone currently in use
